type have a double or single-sided polyurethane tape tabs which sandwiches and
sticks to your hair. These extensions last for about 4-6 weeks, then a touch up
may be required.
Micro
Ring Hair Extensions
Micro ring extensions come as bundles of hair that can
be looped around a small part of your own hair and it is then secured using a
metal bead which is clamped with a pair of pliers. A more convenient form of
this is micro loop extension, which is nothing but pre looped and beaded
extension. To get this type of extension done, you will require help from a
professional hair stylist and invest about 4-5 hours. Once done, these
extensions should last for 2-3 months and they can be un-crimped and reused as
well.
Clip-in
Hair Extension
If you are looking for quick and temporary style
change for yourself, this type of extension is the one for you. They are just
wefts of hair with clips attached to it at the top. To use it, you simply clip
them near the roots of your hair, brush it and you are good to go. All it takes
is 10-15 minutes to set them up and the best part is that you can put it on or
remove it whenever you want, no professional help required.
Hot/Cold
Fusion Hair Extension
These techniques require hands of a professional
hairstylist. In hot fusion, the extensions are attached to your hair by using a
heating tool and keratin U-tips lined with silicone. But in cold fusion the
extensions come pre-tipped with keratin based polymer which is attached to your
hair with a specialized tool and doesn’t require any heat application. Though
these methods can take around 5-8 hours for application, but output lasts over
4 months, if maintained properly.
